Heartfelt Handmade Gift!

Part of my morning ritual is to take a few minutes to be grateful for all the good things in my life. The top of my list most days is how fortunate I am to have a husband, family, friends, and co-workers who really get me.

Today I am going to share one of the Handmade Heartfelt gifts I received as Christmas Present this holiday season that really drives my blessings home.

Check it out the bottle of wine with the See Jayne Stamp Logo. How cool is this!

sjswine

I received this awesome bottle of wine from my co-worker Russ Bloomquist.
Russ is a very talented artist, web designer, and inventor.
He designed my See Jayne Stamp Logo from a stick figure drawing I gave him.
I am so fortunate to have him in my life. He gets me!
Russ I can’t thank you enough for my “Not so Secret Santa” gift.
It’s perfect! I love wine and I love my See Jayne Stamp business and your great talent. Russ you nailed it! I love it! Thanks again!

I’d love to hear about your favorite handmade heartfelt gifts this holiday, please share in the comments.

“Reindeer Poop” Easy Last Minute Treat

If you are like me, time just got away this holiday season.

!PANIC! I need a quick and easy treat for my office mates.

My first thought, what can I make a bunch of in a hurry, with supplies I have on hand?
My dear friend Sue Haas gave Reindeer Poop to my stamp club members as a swap.
Reindeer Poop, that’s the ticket, problem solved, Thanks Sue!

One of the things I love paper the crafting community is CASEing.
CASE stands for copy and share everything.

Here is my CASE of Sue’s Reindeer Poop

img_3550

Please feel free to copy the poem and make your own Reindeer Poop.

I heard that you’ve been NAUGHTY
So here’s the inside scoop
I’m running out of coal this year
So here’s some REINDEER POOP!

Here are the dimensions and the supplies needed

4” x 4” Real Red Card Stock scored @ 2”

½ x 3 Basic Black Card Stock

1” Square of Whisper White Card Stock

1/2” Square of Basic Black Card Stock

2” x 3” Crumb Cake Card Stock to stamp the reindeer image

I used 1/4 cup of chocolate covered almonds for my “Poop”.
For office mates who suffer nut allergies you could use Raisinettes or Hershey Drops

To assemble your “Poop” Treat follow these easy steps
Stamp reindeer image on crumb cake card stock using Tuxedo black memento ink
Punch the reindeer image using the cookie cutter punch
Fold the Real Red card stock on the score line
Line up your 1/2 x 3 Black card stock strip mid way on the right edge of your real red card stock
Layer  1″ square of whisper white toward the center of  1/2 x 3 Black strip
Layer  1/2″ square of black card stock to the center of the whisper white square
(this will create the illusion of  a buckle)
Cut the adhesive flap off your medium clear envelope
Fill with 1/4 cup of your choosen “Reindeer Poop”
Folder over and staple clear envelope closed
Affix Punched reindeer image with dimensionals to the left side of the real red card stock
Run a line of SNAIL on the front of your printed poem
(when cutting your poem be sure to leave about a 1 inch space at the top,
you will be using this space to affix your poem to your real red card stock)
Center your poem between the folded real red card stock
Add Tear n Tape to your real red card stock
Affix to your clear envelope
TaDa a really cute Reindeer Poop treat

As Always…
Make someone smile today.

Very First Video of Mom’s Christmas Cards

Happy Holiday’s from See Jayne Stamp!

Today I am posting my first ever video. How lucky am I, my brother Jack has encouraged and prodded me into making a video. He even went so far as to make my camera setup, lend me his lapel mic and edit the video for me. Jack I can’t thank you enough! You can check Jack out here at Lazy Bones Outdoors

In the video you will see me making  one variation of my Mom’s Christmas card. She needed 60 cards so we kept it simple. An easy card sketch, using Presents and Pine Cones designer series paper from Stampin’ Up, which made it easy to make multiple cards.

If you enjoyed the video please like and subscribe.

Mom was really happy with the results.

If you’d like to make today’s project here are the dimensions:

Emerald Envy Card Stock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4

Whisper White Card Stock cut at 2-3/4 x 2-1/2

Cherry Cobbler Card Stock cut at 3 x 2-3/4

Today July 1st, 2016 is the official launch of See Jayne Stamp

For My Launch I’ve decided to go with one of my favorite color combos

Black and White with a pop of color, in this case the pop of color is Stampin’ UP!’s Melon Mambo

BWw/MelonMambo

My card uses a standard card base in Melon Mambo measuring 5-1/2” by 4-1/4”  made from an 8-1/2″ by 11” piece of card stock cut in half in landscape mode at 5-1/2″ and  scored on the 8-1/2″ side @ 4-1/4″. Folded and creased with a bone folder.

I layered a piece of Stampin’ UP!’s Pop of Pink Designers series paper measuring                5-1/4″ x 4″. The next layer is a piece of whisper white card stock measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″ stamped with melon mambo ink with an image from the swirly bird stamp set.

To make my sentiment stand out I added a rectangle of melon mambo card stock measuring 3″ x 3-1/2″ along with another piece of Pop of Pink Designers series paper on top measuring 2-3/4″ x 3-1/4″. I wrapped a piece of white thick baker’s twine around and tied a bow. I stamped “Why Thank You” from the stamp set included with Oh Happy Day card kit in melon mambo and punched it out with the 2″ circle punch and mounted it to the rectangle with stampin’ dimensionals. For just a hint of sparkle I added a large rhinestone to the O in you. You will find a list of all the materials I used to make today’s card.

Don’t forget, during the month of July everyone who comments will be entered in a drawing. Each week I will be drawing for a different 2016 Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set.
